The temperature is warming up (it's going to be 70 degrees today) the grass is starting to green and we are heading outside today. We are so excited for the coming of spring. I have had so much fun with the new Egg Drop Soup line from Jillibean Soup that I just had to make some cards. Enjoy your week as Spring nears.

Falling in LOVE!
I am in LOVE! In love with all of the new products that have been arriving. New lines from Jillibean Soup, Cosmo Cricket and new to TSG...Sassafrass Lass. Everything is so stinkin' cute I haven't picked a favorite yet. Here are some layouts I found featuring some of these new yummy goodies...
Hey Chickie by Jill Yegerlehner
Found this one over at the Cosmo Cricket blog...doesn't say who created the layout...Maybe it was Julie...Kudos though.

Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl
*Card to be featured in November '10 issue of CARDS magazine*
I was excited to play with some of Cosmo Cricket's new Material Girl collection last weekend. March is National Craft Month, so I decided to make a sign to hang in my craft room. I used a piece of acrylic for the base of the sign. Here are also a couple cards using the same collection. That Scrappy Girl is busy updating her store with all kinds of new products from Cosmo Cricket, Sassafras Lass and others, so be sure to stop by!

Boxes, bunnies and chicks oh my!
So I have been a little overwhelmed with all of the boxes that have been arriving at my door step, but you know what that means...New Product! Yeah! On top of new product arriving this week is Spring Break so I have ALL the kids home this week and even more on top of that I get this bug to clean out my basement...what in the world was I thinking!
I did manage to create a layout using some of Jillibean's Soup new lines. This layout is from the Egg Drop Soup line...
Other new product arriving from Sassafrass Lass. They are new to us, so I can't wait to start using their stuff and the new Fly a Kite from October Afternoon should be coming this week as well. I'll be busy updating the website, so if you don't see something you want, just shoot me an email. Enjoy the rest of your week!
xoxo, Mimi

Cosmo Cricket Snorkel
The snow has finally melted from most of my yard with the exception of a couple really large piles that are quickly shrinking. We are now finding all kinds of hidden treasures - a soccer ball, dump truck, the dog's orange chewy rope and a really large pile of birdseed shells. Here are some summerish card using Cosmo Cricket Snorkel in honor of the weather finally starting to warm up a bit!

Bows and Boys!
A few times a month I scoop up the kids and head for a playdate at the mall or the Golden Arches, but yesterday, I had a playdate!. Yesterday I delved into the world of hairbows. If any of you have little girls, you have probably been tempted by the adorable headwear/bows available for little girls. Locally, we have a wonderful little store called The Pink Hippo and while I have frequented their store on more than one occassion, they are just not in our SAHM budget.
I gathered up my little travel bag, micro-tip scissors, metal ruler, bag of ribbon and my bucket of buttons and off I went.
So here's the boy part of my story. So when I arrived from my playdate, I said to Hailey, my 4 year old..."Hailey, come look at what mommy made for you" Of COURSE she was super thrilled and immediately put them in her hair and started twirling and bouncing (she does that alot), well Hunter, her twin immediately started crying. Startled, I asked him what was wrong. His response "How come I don't get any bows" I responded "boys don't wear bows" He emphatically pouted "No Fair"...you just gotta love boys!
So how about a ribbon giveaway! Leave a comment of why you love ribbon. The winner will receive some ribbon goodness from Jillibean Soup! We'll announce the winner on Friday.

As you can see, I finally got my goodybox from That Scrappy Girl store. These are some beautiful papers from Chatterbox, called artsy-licious. These papers are so cool, the art flocked and embossed, and so much fun to play with.
On this layout,I used the embossed paper as a background and rubbed ink around the edges to make a sort of frame. then built up from there.
What do you think?
