Here I created some fun cards with the scraps from the New Sassafrass Collection Nerdy Bird and Apple Jack. Amazing what you can create with some scrapgoodies. Again, I used the Copic Markers to color in the candles.

A Card a day...
A card a day...now that's a concept. I would never miss another birthday, or anniversary again. I am notorious for missing birthdays or sending cards late. So I decided to make stock up on some cards to have on hand. Here what I made so far. Send us a link of some cute cards you have made and I'll pick a winner. The winner will receive a 6" x 6" mini deck of Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety (when it comes in May 1). Perfect for cardmaking!
I used the Egg Drop Soup Patterned Paper along with the coordinating stickers. I created the chicks using the eggcellent stamps and colored them in with Copic Markers. Don't forget about the envelope.

Catching Up on Layouts
So I had a little time this weekend to sit down and do some scrapbooking. My darling DH gave me an early Mother's day present...a weekend getaway crop at Archiver's. Okay, so I hinted and told him what I wanted, but hey, I used my 30% off coupon and he was thrilled. I met some great new gals. I was the only one out of the whole group that one a prize, but we were the "party room" and had a blast.
I caught up on some cardmaking and some layouts from Easter. I will post the cards tomorrow, but here are the layouts.
Celebrating Spring:
Jillibean Soup: Egg Drop Soup Patterned Paper and Coordinating Stickers and Bazzill Basics: Java, Alphabeans
Happy Easter:
Jillibean Soup: Egg Drop Soup Patterned Paper and Coordinating Stickers, Journaling Sprouts: Yellow, Alphabeans and Fiskars Punch, Corner Rounder, Basic Grey brads.
Just realized I forgot to add the date on my layout...Silly me!
Have fun Scrapping!
xoxo,
Mimi

Jillibean Soup Cards
I used Chicken Noodle Soup papers and stickers on this card set. I used the edge I cut off from the journaling block on my envelope, so that I could tie everything together. The kraft card base and envelope are also Jillibean Soup. The buttons are from Basic Grey.
On this card and envie set I used Egg Drop Soup papers and stamps. I paper pieced his body using more of the paper. The kraft card base and envelope and the Journaling Sprouts are also from Jillibean Soup. I also used some Basic Grey buttons.
And last, a little card in honor of my son, who's favorite animal is a pig :-) I used Chicken Noodle Soup and cut elements from the different papers.

Quick and Easy Cards!
The website is updated with the new Spring Lines. I couldn't resist working with the new Fly A Kite collection from October Afternoon. I didn't have much time as the house has been buzzing with everything NFL...Yes, I may be crazy about that scrapbooking, but pale's in comparison to my husband and his St. Louis Rams.
Since I never have any cards on hand for just that quick hello or thank you I decided to whip out some quick cards. Cards are such a great way to use up your scraps and leftover pieces of ribbon that you save for just the right project.
I just LOVE the new shape stickers from October Afternoon. They added just the perfect touch to my quick and easy cards...Hope you enjoy!

Some More Sassafras Lass Projects!
Here are some different projects using Sassafras Lass's Apple Jack, Nerdy Girl and some Felties from That Scrappy Girl. . I love the bright colors and funky designs of their collections. You can even mix the collections together like I did on my layout. On my thank you card, I even used the packaging from the Felties as one of my "patterned papers."

What are You Scrapping?
Well, I just hate to admit, but I haven't been scrapping much lately. I have had so much of this and so much of that going on, whew! I am embarrased at how long it has been since I finished a project. Can I get an Amen here? Here are my top 10 excuses for not scrapbooking.
10. Forgot to put the SD card in the camera.
9. The camera battery died.
8. The Easter pictures didn't turn out unless you count the back of everyone's heads (and butt's)
a good pic.
7. I can't see the top of my desk.
6. It's 6:43 am and my daughter just woke up...she obviously hasn't heard of sleeping in?
5. I ran out of adhesive.
4. Can't find the camera. Where the heck is that thing?
3. That playdate just wore me out...Going to bed early.
2. Watching the NFL draft with the hubby...yes they talk about it 24/7.
1. Too many paper cuts from all the new boxes arriving...October Afternoon's new line just arrived.
Better get scrapbooking! Here's a layout I snagged off of the OA blog.

Programmed All Boy!
I have to admit I tend to be drawn to ALL things girly and pink. Luckily I have two girls, but my poor little man doesn't get to partake in our spa parties painting our nails and toes while dancing in our tutus...So when Cosmo Cricket came out with Cogsmo I just fell in love. I still find new ways to use this line. Here is a mini album I created for my special guy. Have a great weekend! Mimi

Sassafras Lass Nerdy Bird
*This card will be featured in the September 2010 issue of CARDS magazine*
I just love the cute, whimsical, funky look of Sassafras Lass papers. I couldn't wait to make some cards with the Nerdy Bird Collection. All of the papers and stickers used on these cards can be found in That Scrappy Girl's store. The mini ABC stickers are from Jenni Bowlin.
I hope that everyone has a very Happy Easter!
