Whatever Wednesday - Hoot!
Here is a gift bag and card I made with November's add on kit - Look Who's Talking. I will confess that I snitched the Jillibean ABC's from the main kit, but any alpha set you have in your own stash would work just fine too. Owls are "in" with papercrafting and these Jillibean Soup owls are super cute. I put pop dots behind the owls I cut from the paper and also added some Clearsnap Chesnut Roan chalk ink (it's my go to ink anytime I need a brown) to the corrugated alpha to distress them a bit.
I had some cardstock scraps with a crease left from when I made the friend card and so I left that crease at the top to give this simple little card a little something special.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I need to get some pumpkin pies made and do some last minute shopping today. I should make the pies soon, that way if they go horribly wrong I still have time to hit Walmart before going to the parents on Thursday!

Team Member Tuesday!
Hi Everyone! It's Mimi again. This year, I know with me finally able to stay home with the twinkies and needing to save money, I wanted to come up with a solution of gift giving and saving money. So this season, I decided to make some home made goodies as gifts. I vowed to used as many of the products I already had in my scrapbook room. Here's what I came up with:
I also decided to try some projects using the new December kit. The box icicle is a downloaded template using my Silhouette from QuicKutz. You can put money or candy inside or just use it to decorate the tree. Treat Jar is from Making Memories filled with Hershey Kisses. Don't forget to decorate the top of the jar. This one is decorated, but I didn't have a good photo to show.
We would love to see some of your homemade crafts. Email us a pic of your project or send us a link to your blog and you could win some more scrappi goodness from our Featured Manufacturer TaDa Design Studios mentioned in yesterday's blog.

Fab Friday: Add On Kit Inspiration
I love Fridays - don't you?! Does anyone have fun plans for this weekend? I know I've got a lot of scrapbooking to do this weekend! :) ...but before the fun beings, I wanted to leave everyone with some ideas for a layout using this month's Add On kit.
It's filled with a bunch of Jillibean Soup! :) If you're an owl lover, you're going to be swooning over this kit. Here's a layout I created using the kit:
Want some tips on how to make this layout?
First, I used a circle template to cut a circle out of a piece of solid cardstock paper. Then, I placed my cardstock on top of patterned paper to create a circular frame for my photos. Just by adding photos underneath my cardstock with some embellishments, I turned my layout into a framed-like design.
I know you've already heard the November main kit is so "nutty" cute, but I just wanted to reiterate that! It's SUPER CUTE! Here's another layout I cranked out with the kit.
Oh, and I almost forgot. I wanted to announce the winner to Monday's giveaway is Natalie Michaud-Lee. Congrats! Please email Mimi to claim your prize.
...and remember, if you have any layouts that you have created with any That Scrappy Girl kits, please feel free to share them with us! We'd LOVE to see your work.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
sarah.

Whatever Wednesday!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I can't believe I'm talking about Christmas and we haven't had Thanksgiving yet, but I'm heading to the post office to mail the design team December's Kit so I couldn't help myself.
My scrapbook room is a complete mess as I'm trying to assemble the kits, but here's a little sneak peek.

Team Member Tuesday!
This week I am sharing an altered clipboard using the November A Nutmeg Kind of Fall kit. This was made with pictures of my two kidlets. Personality wise they are total opposites, yet they are the best of friends. They honestly make my job as a mom pretty easy most of the time. Parker just turned 9 and is my serious, analytical, competitive child (aka Captain Serious). He loves to play all sports, loves math and science and wants to be a scientist/inventor one day. He is my quiet child. He even used some scrap supplies on his Pinewood Derby car this year. Then there is Emma also known as Pouty Pants! I can also be a bit of a pouty pants, so I'm thinking she takes a little after her mother! She just turned 7 and is going on 17. She is not my quiet child! She also loves to scrap and craft, has her own desk in my room and way too many supplies. Here is a link to a mini album she made a little while ago and she was also the featured artist at Creative Mini Albums. She can draw like no one's business, but she doesn't get that from me. I can't draw to save my life. In this picture I believe the kids just turned 5 and 7. Well there you have it...a little about the Hansen kidlets!
And since I went on and on with the shameless parent bragging, I feel like I owe you more projects. Here are a couple cards I also made with the November kit.

Manic Monday!
I'm calling today Manic Monday as this is the first official day as being a stay at home mommy that I think I've really lost it. I barely got 5 hours of sleep last night; the twins did not nap today, but fell asleep in the car on my way to pick up the oldest from basketball practice. To top things off it's 9:39 pm and they are still talking. Super Nanny, where are you?
Well, even though I haven't gotten the routine down yet and the day is almost over, I think there is still time for a challenge giveaway. Send us a link of a layout or leave a comment of your craziest day or a day in the life of.... The winner will recieve some Nutmeg Ready Set Chipboard. We will announce the winner in Friday's post.

The good news...December's kit is almost ready...last of the shipments coming this week...goodies for Elle's studios. We can't wait.

Technique Thursday: Templates
Hi everyone! It's me, Sarah, again! Today, I wanted to share some template techniques.
Templates add a great touch to your projects, and the best part is a lot of them are free! Using this month's kit, I created a handful of layouts using templates shared over at Ideas for Scrapbookers.
So, how do you use templates?! Well, the possibilities are endless. You can print it out and use it as a tracing template to cut out. Or, you can even cut it out and make your own embellishments.
Try using templates with this month's kit! You'll go totally "nutty" with the outcome!
Hugs,
sarah.

Hi all Kristie here, one more little tidbit about me is that I like to make altered things,, I sometimes buys things just so I can alter them.so when I saw this little chipboard box by provo craft, I just HAD to change it into something beautiful,,,,,,,,,,,,,So I used the alphabet soup paper to "wrap" this box,, used some ink and a few extras and made a cute little gift box. I plan to use it to give some homemade christmas candy in.
I also made these two layouts with the alphabet soup kit,,,,,,, and have lots to work with still too.One for my little math whiz, Jared and he was so excited when I asked him to write his name for the layout.I love incorporating the kids own handwriting anf artwork in my pages. I think they will want to see this sort of thing when they get older. The other is of my little bookworm Hunter, he reads so fast, I am going to have to buy stock in the various publishing houses to pay for his new hobby!(which i will gladly do by the way)I punched squares out of the alphabet soup papers and then used a corner rounder on opposite corners to make the "leaves" of the plant.
so I just wanted to show you that the awesome kits from that scrappy girl can be used for more than just layouts,,, you can make all kinds of decorative things with them! and still have plenty left over to make more wonderful stuff!

Manufacturer Monday - Jillibean Soup
Jillibean Soup has come out with so many wonderful paper lines, journaling sprouts, buttons, ribbons, stamps, stickers, you name it! I have had the chance to play with a number of their lines and am excited to see that it is being featured in this month's mini kit - Look Who's Talking. Be sure to stop by the blog through out the month to see different creations from the design team using this kit.
I thought I'd share some of the cards and layouts I've made with some of the other Jillibean products you can find in That Scrappy Girl's store. I even got brave and played with stamps on one of the cards! (click on each picture for a better look)
