Team Member Tuesday!

Hi everyone! I'm Jennifer Hansen and I'm uber excited to be on That Scrappy Girl's design team! A bit about me scrappy wise....I tend to have a fairly simple style, although I love dimension, bright colors and shiny stuff. What's weird is that my favorite projects in magazines and galleries tend to be the layered, detailed or shabby. I keep telling myself I'm going to start using this sewing machine contraption that I've had for years. I'm challenging myself to show some stitching on future That Scrappy Girl projects!

I had dabbled briefly in scrapbooking many years ago. Then one day I mentioned to my husband I'd like to try it again. So for my birthday he bought me a 12x12 album (that was the new size at the time) and a pack of cardstock. And well...the rest is history! The obsession began and he's been kicking himself ever since! Then I started to dabble in cards, altered projects, home decor, mini albums, just about anything I could stick some paper on.

Here is a "simple" Halloween card I made with the Boo To You October Mini Kit. I used the Pink Paislee Twilight papers (love that these papers are a touch vintagey but still with a lot of great color), added some sparkle with the brads and I used one of my favorite go-to techniques - fussy cutting. On this card I cut the 31 from the patterned paper and added some 3D dots behind it for dimension.
Don't forget to sign up for the Technique Tuesday giveaway and also enter a project in the October sketch challenge where you can win some Jillibean Soup goodies.
